Shocking Fan Theory About Sofia Falcone in ‘The Penguin’ Will Blow Your Mind!

The Penguin is undoubtedly one of the biggest series right now, and it’s capturing everyone’s attention. HBO has finally struck gold with a major hit, showcasing that Matt Reeves has done an incredible job with his Batman universe, leaving us eager for what lies ahead. In the meantime, we’ll be enjoying the series.
While Colin Farrell’s Penguin takes center stage, another character has emerged as a true scene-stealer: Cristin Milioti’s Sofia Falcone. She is a brilliantly crafted and portrayed character in the show.
It’s no surprise that she has garnered immense popularity, with fans eager to learn more about her. This has led to the formation of numerous theories regarding her character and her role within Reeves’ Batman universe. We’ll present one such theory in this report.
As you may know, Reddit is a major hub for fan theories, and one intriguing theory from user imnotwallaceshawn explores how Sofia’s story might develop in the future:
After these last two episodes I have a crazy theory that I needed to see if anyone else agrees with.
I think Sofia might end up being this universe’s version of Poison Ivy.
I know! I know! But hear me out.
- The speech she gives to Julian about how men have lied and manipulated her her entire life felt very Ivy
- The drug Bliss, which I know some people have theorized is going to be turned into Fear Toxin, in its current form feels much closer to the type of euphoric effect Ivy’s pheromones tend to create. Plus they’re red, which her pheromones usually are in the comics
- The green floral dress she wore in episode 3 felt very Ivy
- Her safe space being the Green House feels very telling
Matt Reeves has always maintained that if he were to include a more fantastical villain he’d want to ground them in reality, so switching up Ivy from being able to literally mind control people with pheromones into someone who weaponizes a euphoric drug to manipulate and kill men feels like exactly the type of thing he meant.
Now personally I kinda hope I’m wrong because I love Pamela Eisley and I really like this version of Sofia Falcone and would want her to continue evolving into her own thing… but I can’t shake the feeling that I’m onto something.

Interesting? Absolutely. There have been subtle hints about Poison Ivy’s involvement in the series. While it seems unlikely for Sofia Falcone to become Poison Ivy, it’s still a fascinating theory that could surprise us. Honestly, Milioti would make an excellent Poison Ivy, in our opinion!
