Fans Are Disappointed by the Announced Cameos in ‘Daredevil: Born Again’

One of the most highly anticipated projects in the MCU’s future is Marvel’s Daredevil: Born Again series. Originally part of a different franchise, Daredevil and other characters from Marvel TV have now been integrated into the MCU, opening up exciting new possibilities.

Fans are particularly thrilled to see Vincent D’Onofrio return as Kingpin, but the real buzz is centered around Charlie Cox’s return as the titular Daredevil. His portrayal has garnered significant fan affection, making his standalone series a highly anticipated event.

However, despite the excitement, Cox’s recent hint that the series will include several MCU cameos—albeit not major ones—has sparked debate. Some fans worry that these appearances could undermine the show’s previously grounded approach and potentially alter Daredevil in a negative way.

Just to recap our recent update, here’s what Charlie Cox shared about the potential MCU cameos. With the series now becoming part of the MCU and needing to fit into the established universe, these appearances are an important aspect of the integration:

Um… so, you know… we’ve seen you show up in a few other projects in the MCU, any chance we’re going to see some crossover of some of those characters coming into this show? In this season?

CC: There’s a couple of small fun moments here… of… of, um… collision, but not.. nothing… Of collision, of collision. Yeah, I don’t know, I… I use that word when when characters come together, but I don’t want to oversell anything there and get people too excited. The… you’ve… the… the real… the real stuff is in this room.

This news certainly delighted many fans, particularly those of the MCU. However, fans of the original Netflix series, who appreciated its unique approach, don’t seem as thrilled.

It’s yet to be seen how Daredevil will incorporate these cameos and whether they might negatively impact the show. Given the recent concerns raised by the Deadpool & Wolverine movie, these worries are certainly understandable. We can only hope that the series stays true to its original essence.
