Some Fans Believe Marvel Has the Ideal Replacement for Chadwick Boseman Right in Front of Them

Black Panther is undeniably one of the most popular characters in the MCU, and both movies centered around the Wakandan superhero achieved tremendous success, despite the second installment not featuring the original Black Panther, T’Challa, played by the late Chadwick Boseman.

Following Boseman’s passing, Marvel made the decision not to recast the character, instead choosing to honor his legacy. Black Panther 2 paid tribute to the late actor by powerfully capturing the real-life grief on-screen. Marvel’s official stance was that they didn’t want to replace Boseman, out of respect for his legacy and the character’s importance.

However, as we’ve mentioned in previous reports, fans have been calling for a new Black Panther for some time. Although the character is officially deceased in the MCU canon, fans believe they’ve found the perfect replacement for Chadwick Boseman in a British actor.

John Boyega is an actor best known to younger audiences for his role as Finn in the Star Wars franchise, though he has had several other significant roles. After his time with Star Wars, Boyega parted ways with Disney, expressing dissatisfaction with how he was treated. This was widely discussed, especially here, especially when fans suggested Boyega as a potential replacement for Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror (before Robert Downey Jr. was cast as Doctor Doom, of course).

However, Boyega turned down Kang’s role and made it clear that he had no interest in working with Disney again. Despite this, a recent photo shoot has led some fans to believe that Boyega could be the ideal choice to step in as Chadwick Boseman’s replacement.

This development is surprising for several reasons, but as mentioned, fans have been thrilled since these photos surfaced online. Below are just a few of the comments about John Boyega potentially stepping into the role once held by Chadwick Boseman. While some fans also wanted him as Kang, we didn’t include those comments since Boyega has already declined that offer.
