‘The Acolyte’ Season 1 finale is upon us, after a relatively short run and eight episodes, we’re finally going to see the end of Qimir’s, Osha’s, and Mae’s stories. But is it really the end? We’ve already covered that ‘The Acolyte’ is unlikely to get a second season, due to several factors.

But as it turns out despite low viewership, the show did amass quite the fandom that is making waves on social media, calling for the continuation of the show.

Headland already admitted that she pretty much threw everything on the line for season 1 and the show will not have a cliffhanger ending, but ideally, its run would end after three or four seasons. She already teased that there are conversations regarding the second season of the show, but the official decision hasn’t been made yet.

Ever since the release of the two-episode premiere, the show has suffered both from review-bombing and review-boosting, it’s been highly controversial due to exploring some canon stuff, coming awfully close to changing them without really giving us a reason why they need to be changed.

Some scandals were only indirectly related to the show, death threats were made on both sides of the spectrum and it managed to divide Star Wars fandom like no live-action project before.

In light of this, it’s not surprising to see that some people really want to see the show continue, after all, according to social media reactions the show was either the best or the worst thing to ever happen to Star Wars:

What do you think? Should ‘The Acolyte’ get a second season? Let us know in the comments below!
