Fans Furious With Gunn’s Rumored Casting for Booster Gold: “Dead on arrival, way to go Gunn”

‘Booster Gold’ is just one of many DCU’s live-action shows planned for the next several years as a part of ‘Chapter 1: Gods and Monsters.’ Not much is known about the show but Gunn recently confirmed that it’s not going to enter production anytime soon.

Now as always, fans have expressed their wishes for certain actors to portray the titular character. Based on their connections to James Gunn and physical appearance, the most likely candidates for the role so far have been Antony Starr and Chris Pratt, and both of those casts were eventually debunked.

Recently, NexusPoint news reported on the rumor that Kumail Nanjiani has been cast as DCU’s Booster Gold. The actor has an impressive resume, and if the rumors are true, was most likely cast due to his comedian background.

However, fans have taken to social media to voice their displeasure with the casting selection, primarily due to the fact that Nanjiani is Pakistani-American, whose physical appearance cannot be farther from Booster Gold’s comic depictions:
