Fans Questioning Whether ‘The Acolyte’ Is Really Bad Following Episode 5 as Rating Starts To Recover

acolyte rating keeps dropping

‘Star Wars: The Acolyte’ recently released its 5th episode. Following the release of Episodes 3 & 4 the controversy surrounding the show peaked, with plenty of fans criticizing the witches of Brendok and several instances of canon-breaking.

All this is now almost forgotten. Yesterday’s episode finally revealed who the mysterious Sith Lord training Mae was, it also delivered the largest Jedi massacre since ‘Revenge of the Sith.’

The episode finally fixed the pacing (although the dialogues are still dreadful) but the best part of the show was definitely choreography and intense lightsaber combat, the likes of which we truly haven’t seen for a long time in Star Wars projects. We know that the show has been a target of both review-bombing and review-boosting and following even the release of Episode 5, the score has hit an all-time low, sitting at just 13 %.

Now social media reacted overall well to the episode, but we were interested in the reactions of people who thought of the series as bad in the first place.

As you can see the general consensus is that ‘The Acolyte’ so far is not the best show around, but it definitely started to recover with Episode 5, and so did its Rotten Tomatoes audience score. After reaching an all-time low at 13 %, the show is currently back at 14%, it’s laughable progress, but it’s progress nonetheless.

We’re worried whether the show will be able to top what we witnessed yesterday, it’s honestly going to be hard to top that, even Headland admitted that episode 5 was her favorite, so we’re really unsure about what to expect.
