‘Captain America: Brave New World’ is scheduled for release on February 14, 2025, marking one of the initial films of MCU’s Phase Five. Anthony Mackie will star as the new Captain America, succeeding Chris Evans’s Steve Rogers from earlier films.

While Mackie will be joined by both familiar and fresh faces, as we’ve previously reported, and with most cast members already announced, fans speculate that another former MCU villain may return. This speculation arises from the purported voice of this character heard in the recently unveiled trailer.

The character in question is Samuel Sterns, a minor villain believed to be smarter than even Tony Stark, who made his debut in ‘The Incredible Hulk’ portrayed by Tim Blake Nelson. Brief glimpses of Sterns indicate his skin may now be green, suggesting his evolution into the Leader, as foreshadowed in The Incredible Hulk, is complete. Fans are also in consensus:

Fans are eagerly anticipating Sterns’ return and have begun crafting theories. We can confirm Sterns’ comeback, though details about his role will be disclosed later. Stay tuned with us for all the updates!
