Fans Worried About Dave Bautista’s Recent Extremely Slimmer Appearance: “Is it me or Batista is getting small?”

Share:

Bautista gained fame as a professional wrestler under the ring name “Batista.” He signed with WWE in 2002 and became one of the most popular wrestlers of his era. His persona as a powerful, muscular fighter led him to multiple championships, including four World Heavyweight Championships and two WWE Championships.

However, It wasn’t until Bautista appeared in the world-famous ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ franchise as Drax that he gained worldwide fame and became a household name.

Following the latest installment of the franchise, Bautista said that he would like to pursue more meaningful and deeper roles, his latest role was in ‘Dune: Part Two,’ a role for which he was highly praised.

Now several months after his last on-screen appearance fans were surprised to see Bautista’s new physical appearance, as seen in a recent backstage photo from ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.’

This led to many fans speculating whether there was something wrong with the actor, just like they previously speculated that there was something wrong with Laz Alonso, the actor who portrays Mother’s Milk in the popular ‘The Boys’ TV show, who also recently trimmed a lot of weight.

The last comment is the correct one as Bautista explained some time ago that he did get slimmer for his role in ‘Dune.’

Bautista revealed that he lost 50 pounds through Brazilian jiu-jitsu. After gaining weight for his role in ‘Knock at the Cabin,’ where he weighed 300 pounds, he used Brazilian jiu-jitsu to slim down while filming ‘Dune.’

But the comments pointing out Bautista’s age are also correct, the actor recently opened up regarding his possible role in DCU, since James Gunn was asking fans to recommend a possible role for the actors. Bautista said that he had to give up his dream role of playing Bane due to being much older:

And, also, I have to say that I appreciate that because I don’t want to play a character that I can’t bring justice to it. I don’t think at this point in my career that I can bring justice to Bane anymore. I just don’t know if I could handle the physical part, and I don’t think I would have the longevity to plan ahead for films. So, I just don’t know if I’d be that guy.

As you can see, Bautista is not ill and there’s nothing wrong with him, he is just accepting a natural part of his life and living healthily according to it.
