Recently, we’ve received a lot of exciting new details about the movie, with the most notable being its official synopsis. This provides some intriguing insights into the story. Before we dive deeper, here’s what the official synopsis reveals:
The film follows Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, and Ben Grimm as they face their most daunting challenge yet. Forced to balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their family bond, they must defend Earth from a ravenous space god called Galactus (Ralph Ineson) and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer (Julia Garner). And if Galactus’ plan to devour the entire planet and everyone on it weren’t bad enough, it suddenly gets very personal.
As you can tell, the movie will be a big adventure for the Fantastic Four, with the fate of the entire planet on the line. Naturally, this means the film will take us to many different locations. It’s now confirmed that the cast and crew are heading to Spain for their final week of filming:

The inclusion of the United Nations in The Fantastic Four: First Steps has led some fans to speculate about a possible connection to Captain America: Civil War, where the UN also played a significant role. But is there really a link between the two films? We don’t think so, and here’s why.
First, the movie is set in a separate universe from the main Marvel Earth, according to the reports we’ve seen, meaning there is no direct tie to the main MCU. Additionally, the director has confirmed that the film won’t feature any other superheroes, making a crossover unlikely.
