First Look at Harvey Dent in ‘Joker: Folie à Deux’ Has Been Revealed & Fans Hate It

‘Joker: Folie à Deux’ is the next highly exciting DC release that we can look forward to. The movie is described as a drama set in and around Arkham Asylum, but specific plot details haven’t been confirmed officially. The cast includes Joaquin Phoenix, Lady Gaga, Zazie Beetz, Catherine Keener, and Brendan Gleeson. The screenplay was co-written by Todd Phillips and Scott Silver.

Early in the development, it’s been described as musical despite Phillips insisting that it’s not a musical, so take from that what you will.

Now ‘Joker’ franchise overall was never exactly a comic adaptation as the director strayed quite far from the usual tropes associated with the character. Phillips’ explained that Joker will never become a clown prince of crime in Gotham. Lady Gaga also explained that she will have a completely different and unique take on Harley Quinn, and some fans did not receive that well.

Still, it’s a highly awaited movie and the first one was a massive hit. Now that the release is coming closer, the marketing for the movie is going full steam ahead. Recently, a first look at Harry Lawtey’s Harvey Dent has been revealed.

Dent will be Gotham City’s newly elected District Attorney who plans on prosecuting Arthur for his crimes.

The reactions to this reveal were not good, as was expected. Some are hilarious however.

We don’t know why Harvey has to be in the movie, but it’s obvious that the character’s comic counterpart will be minimally referenced, as is the case with most of the familiar characters in the first movie.

We can’t judge Lawtey’s performance from images alone, so we will wait for the movie to pass our judgment! What do you think so far? Let us know in the comments below!
