‘Captain America: Brave New World’ is the next chapter in the MCU. We know that the movie has been through development hell in the last few years, and had to be delayed several times.

The most recent reshoots for the film also allegedly amassed quite the price tag, only for the first trailer to be heavily criticized due to Red Hulk’s CGI and the inclusion of Sabra, a Zionist superhero in the comics and former Black Widow in the upcoming movie.

Now speaking of the Red Hulk, we know that Harrison Ford will be portraying Thaddeus Ross in the movie following the passing of William Hurt. Ford will take over not only the presidential role but also the honor of portraying Ruby Goliath in the MCU, and he has had some very interesting comments over the course of the movie’s development. From playing stupid regarding Red Hulk to claiming that he took on the role only beacuse of the money, Ford is seemingly a treasure trove of motivational quotes regarding ‘Captain America: Brave New World.’

A year ago, Mackie claimed that he was extremely nervous around Ford on set and that he completely forgot his lines. Then, Ford reassured him that everything was going to be alright by using his trademark line “Let’s shoot this piece of shi*“:

The first day was so intimidating. I was so fucking nervous I couldn’t remember my lines. He’s Harrison fucking Ford. There is this aura about him. But he dispels that really quickly because he’s such a cool guy. He’s everything a movie star should be. He would say, ‘Let’s shoot this piece of shit.’ And everybody was like, ‘Yeah, let’s shoot this shit.

Variety

Apparently, this is something that Ford often uses on the set of his films, and in no way does it represent the actual quality of the movie (I hope), but the interview resurfaced and fans took it as yet another reason to doubt that the movie will be a success:

In any case, some of the commentary is hilarious, and some of Ford’s subsequent comments can truly be interpreted as the actor truly hating the shi* out of that movie, but it’s most likely all well-intentioned.
