Franklin Richards Confirmed to Appear in ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’?

‘Fantastic Four: First Steps’ is easily one of the most exciting upcoming MCU projects. During this year’s SDCC some movie footage was released and further hyped up fans for what appears to be an unparalleled MCU cosmic adventure.

We know that Silver Surfer and Galactus will appear in the movie alongside Fantastic Four, but based on some of the most recent set leaks, some past rumors are seemingly now confirmed as well.

Principal photography for ‘Fantastic Four: First Steps’ began on July 30, 2024, at Pinewood Studios in London, under the working title ‘Blue Moon.’ Filming is expected to last five months and is being shot for IMAX. The production start date had been delayed multiple times, originally expected in 2023, then January 2024, and finally August 2024.

Now that the shooting has begun set leaks are unavoidable and most recent leaks showcase what appears to be Sue Storm holding a baby:

Considering past rumors, the baby in question is none other than Franklin Richards, son of Sue Storm and Reed Richards. Some past industry insiders claimed that Franklin will be born in space, and will have a special connection to Galactus. The nature of that connection is unknown, but we will likely find out more once the movie’s development progresses further.

Some rumors also reported that Valeria Richards will also be in the movie. If you’re unfamiliar with Franklin, you should be aware that he was at one time one of the most powerful Marvel characters.

Franklin was considered a mutant with vast reality-warping powers, capable of manipulating matter and energy on a cosmic scale. His abilities allow him to create entire universes, alter reality, and manipulate time and space. Despite his young age, his power level surpasses that of many of the most powerful Marvel characters.
