Now that ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ has been released, the next important project that fans can look forward to next year is ‘Fantastic Four: First Steps.’ While initially it was unknown whether Galactus would appear in the movie or not, the confirmation came when Ralph Ineson was cast in the role.
This year SDCC showed the first footage related to the movie, and at the end, we could see comic-accurate Galactus peeking through windows on a high-rise building.
Several theories have been developed regarding Galactus’ role in the upcoming movie, and he will most likely be responsible for the destruction of the alternate reality in which the movie is set. But according to the most recent rumors, Galactus will also share one important thing with America Chavez, introduced in ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.’
Considering that we are currently in the Multiversal Saga of the MCU, it’s no wonder that a lot of focus has been given to alternate realities and variants, America Chavez is a unique character beacuse only one “variant” of her exists across all realities. According to Cosmic Circus’ latest podcast, this will be the case with Galactus as well.
Galactus will be a unique individual, but it’s unknown how this will reflect his powers and future in the MCU. We know that Chavez possesses innate powers related to her unique physiology. These powers allowed her to initially hold her own against the Chaos Magic-empowered Scarlet Witch, though she was eventually overpowered. Chavez can channel inter-dimensional energies through her body, and this is likely something that Galactus will have as well.
