Gina Carano Takes ‘South Park’ Special Seriously, Uses It To Criticize Kennedy

South Park, an adult animated series known for its bold satire, has been airing for nearly three decades, humorously tackling nearly every significant social and political phenomenon.

In its recent special episode titled “South Park: Joining the Panderverse,” the show critiques Disney’s diversity policies amid significant divisions within the Star Wars community. Simultaneously, it satirizes those who exclusively criticize Kathleen Kennedy while overlooking other figures involved, suggesting Kennedy may be singled out due to her gender.

While we recently covered South Park’s brilliant satire in another article, it’s important to note that some fans took the entire episode seriously instead of recognizing it as parody—a notable concern in itself. One such individual was Gina Carano, and here’s what unfolded.

We’re all familiar with the controversy involving Gina Carano and Disney. The actress was not rehired due to her political and ideological views conflicting with Disney’s policies. Her character was written out of The Mandalorian, and the series continued without her.

Carano has pursued legal action against Disney in hopes of reinstatement, while also publicly criticizing her former employer whenever possible. She has singled out Kathleen Kennedy on multiple occasions, and following the release of the recent South Park special mentioned above, she took the satire seriously and once again targeted Kennedy.

This is the part where KK demands any YouTubers get censored off of YouTube for sharing and laughing at this hilarious episode, she’ll have YouTube disable the thumbs down option because of the ratio she’ll receive, then she’ll have her publicist ghouls make sure Variety and Hollywood Reporter run hit pieces about the South Park creators and their families smearing their names through every useful idiot she has under her thumb who would sell their soul to work for Lucas film, she’ll activate her online mob to repeat that the South Park creators are racist, bigot, transphobes, and demand the South Park creators publicly apologize by only using words she approves of and finally she’ll demand they subject themselves to a re-education course of 45 people in the lbgtq community zoom call to sit there and listen of how badly they got their feelings hurt all over a little boop of a South Park episode. But maybe just maybe the jig is up.

While the rant is another in a series, and we won’t delve into it here (Carano seems frustrated, so we’ll refrain), it’s disheartening to see her take South Park so seriously. The show satirizes everyone and everything without aiming to be taken literally. It sends a strong message, but Carano’s frustrated reaction sadly indicates she missed the point.
