Gunn’s Latest Comments About David Corenswet Will Make Marvel Fans Angry

James Gunn is currently working his hardest to develop a new cinematic universe on the remnants of the ill-fated DCEU. We know that Gunn already has experience when it comes to superhero movies, as he is the mind behind one of the most profitable franchises in the MCU – Guardians of the Galaxy.
Being in the superhero world, Gunn has worked with plenty of action stars, and his recent comments might make that part of his fandom angry.
2025 is bound to be the year of Superman, as the true start of the DCU is set to land in theaters. David Corenswet is bound to take up the mantle of Man of Steel, and so far things look promising enough with Corenswet going through a dramatic physical transformation to prepare for the role.
During the most recent NYCC panel, Gunn talked a little about the progress of ‘Superman’ and what fans can expect. Gunn had nothing but praise for Corenswet, stating that he is the best action star he has ever worked with.
Krypto, that’s been something that’s just been amazing. We’ve been
working with him in the edit. He’s an incredible part of the story to me
personally. When I was writing the screenplay, he came in and kind of
changed everything up. We’re deep in the process of editing. David
Corenswet is going to fucking blow people away. He is the movie star
that everyone just dreams he could possibly be. I don’t think anyone
really understands the depth of this guy’s talent dramatically,
comedically.

worked with…I feel good about it, and I’m really hard on stuff, so it’s
been fantastic… It won’t be too long before we see a trailer, but it
also won’t be too soon.
As a reminder Gunn has already worked with big faces in the industry starting with Dave Bautista who is also notable for his impressive physique, Chris Pratt who also dramatically transformed for the role of superhero, John Cena and Will Smith among plenty of other action stars.
The comments that David Corenswet is the best left many fans dumbfounded.
