With the release of ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ plenty of legacy characters from other Marvel properties made their return to the big screen, and some of them even concluded their original storylines. For some, like Deadpool & Wolverine the future is clear, while some characters like Channing Tatum’s Gambit are awaiting potential projects, still, there are plenty of characters that never made it to the movie that fans were excited to see.
Halle Berry, who played Storm for 10 years starting with ‘X-Men’ released in 2000 and ending with her final appearance in ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ released in 2014, was one of those characters.
Berry later explained that she was all for making a cameo appearance, and confirmed as much to Reynolds’ wife Blake Lively but it seems that Reynolds never got in contact with her, which some fans speculated is due to Wesley Snipes’ return as Blade.
In any case, it seems that the ‘Never Let Go’ star is not writing off her reprisal of the role as she confirmed that she might be back for the second time in a span of one week. During ‘Never Let Go’ premiere the actress was asked whether she would return as Storm and she did not rule out the possibility:
I don’t know if I’m coming back. Maybe one day, we’ll see.”
The actress said pretty much the same thing a few days ago when talking to Josh Wildling:
Josh: We didn’t see you in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ but it looks like the X-Men could be in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ or ‘Secret Wars,’ so do you see a Storm brewing for those movies perhaps?
Berry: You never know! We’ll find out!
Berry will have two opportunities to reprise her role. First in the upcoming ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ which is heavily rumored to include a plethora of characters from former Marvel movies, and in the upcoming ‘X-Men’ live-action reboot.
