‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ is the most successful MCU release recently. The movie has crossed $1 billion at the box office and managed to reignite some passion that the fans used to have for the franchise.

Much of the movie’s success is owed to the fan service and notable cameos from previous Fox X-Men movies and other Marvel movies that were released before MCU was a thing.

We’ve seen Garner’s Elektra, Evans’ Human Torc, Snipes’ Blade, and plenty of other secondary characters such as Pyro, Stick Fingaz’s Blade, Toad, Juggernaut, Sabertooth, etc, you get it if you’ve seen the movie. Plenty of fans have expected some of the most notable X-Men to make an appearance as well and it’s been rumored that Famke Janssen’s Jean Grey, James Marsden’s Scott Summers, and Halle Berry’s Storm will appear but that did not happen.

As it turns out, Halle Berry wanted to make a quick appearance in the movie but according to the actress herself Ryan Reynolds never asked her:

“Blake [Lively] asked me one time, I ran into her at a Marc Jacobs fashion show, and she said, ‘Would you ever be in my husband’s movie as Storm?’ I said, ‘Yeah, if he asked me,’ but he never asked me.

Berry’s Storm is one of the most iconic live-action portrayals when it comes to X-Men characters, and such a cameo would truly be a massive thing, it’s really weird that she wasn’t even asked considering that some of the lesser characters were asked. I mean no disrespect but having Sticky Fingaz as Blade cameo in the movie would be nowhere near my priorities list if there’s Storm herself on the table. There are possible explanations for why she wasn’t asked and some of them are messy and connected to Snipes’ alleged abuse of the actress.

It’s likely that Reynolds wanted secondary characters to close their stories, as most of them were left unfinished in their original movie franchises.
