Hallmark Media has announced that Finding Mr. Christmas, the festive reality competition series, will return for a second season in 2025 on Hallmark+. The show, created by Jonathan Bennett and Ben Roy, combines holiday cheer with friendly competition as aspiring actors vie for the title of Mr. Christmas.
Jonathan Bennett, who also hosts the series, expressed his excitement for the show’s renewal. “Bringing this show to life was such a dream come true,” he shared. “There’re definitely more stories to be told in season two and so much more fun to be had. We’re really just scratching the surface here.” Melissa Peterman will return as the lead judge for the upcoming season.
The premise of the show revolves around ten contestants competing in challenges inspired by Hallmark’s signature holiday magic. From perfecting their acting chops to mastering skills like present wrapping and on-screen romance, the men work to prove they have what it takes to become Hallmark’s next leading star.
Each week, one contestant is eliminated, leaving the winner with a starring role in a Countdown to Christmas movie.
Season one champion Ezra Moreland earned his breakthrough role in Happy Howlidays, starring opposite Jessica Lowndes. The film premiered on Hallmark Channel and is now available to stream on Hallmark+.
Ben Roy, co-creator of the series, shared his pride in the show’s success. “My hope for season one was that we would create something that would stand out in the reality TV landscape – a show that is competitive yet genuinely heartwarming and uplifting.
The positive response from fans has been incredible. We can’t wait for the challenge to make season two even more heartfelt, more entertaining, and somehow… even more handsome.”
David Sefanou, Head of Unscripted Programming at Hallmark Media, highlighted the show’s unique charm. “It’s nearly impossible to create a piece of entertainment that truly breaks through in this overcrowded market, let alone to make one that wears its heart on its sleeve while being deeply entertaining. Finding Mr. Christmas is that show, and we can’t wait to do it again.”
Lisa Hamilton Daly, Hallmark Media’s Executive Vice President of Programming, echoed the sentiment, celebrating the show’s heartwarming appeal. “We are thrilled at the success of the first season and are proud to have created a reality competition series with heart at its core.”
The series is produced by Hallmark Media in collaboration with Super Delicious, with executive producers including Cara Tapper, Adam Cohen, Joanna Vernetti, Bennett, Roy, and Trish Gold.
