The Mustafar battle is a famous fight scene in ‘Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith.’ It takes place on the volcanic planet Mustafar between Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi.

They fight because Anakin has turned to the dark side and betrayed the Jedi. The battle is intense and dramatic, with lava flowing around them, and it ends with a tragic defeat for Anakin.

The battle gave us some of the most iconic scenes in fiction in general, but it also provided us with some dubious strategies and some really awkward lines, high ground anyone?

In any case, during SPACECON Christensen finally shed some light on the details regarding the iconic fight.

Christensen joked that Anakin jumped because of “the arrogance of youth.” He then suggested that Anakin thought he could beat Obi-Wan Kenobi because he knew how Obi-Wan had defeated Darth Maul in ‘The Phantom Menace.’

In a TikTok video by thelegacyofnerd, Christensen explained that Anakin likely grew up hearing stories about this fight, which made him believe he could win against Obi-Wan, even though Obi-Wan had the high ground.

Christensen’s comments are excellent beacuse they sort of imply that Obi-Wan was thinking about that exact same fight when he warned Anakin not to try it. It’s unlikely that the franchise will ever again see a battle so iconic, but both Christensen and McGregor recently shared that they want to share the screen again:

At Los Angeles Comic-Con, Ewan McGregor talked about the chance of ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ Season 2. He said they are “exploring” the idea of making more episodes. He also expressed his desire to wear the Clone Wars armor again and hopes to work with Hayden Christensen on more flashbacks from the Prequels era, like those in Season 1.

This is great news, especially since the director had said that Obi-Wan’s story seemed finished in the first season.

Christensen is also teased to have a bigger role in ‘Ahsoka’ season 2, at least according to rumors.
