In the last month, fans could enjoy not one, but two comics-based shows, ‘Agatha All Along’ and ‘The Penguin.’ We never expected for both shows to perform so well, especially ‘The Penguin’ which has been lauded since its pilot episode released as the greatest superhero show yet.
‘The Penguin’ follows the events of Revees’ ‘The Batman: Part I.’ It takes place about a week after the seawall has been blown apart and sees Oz Cobb starting a bloody and brutal race to fill the power vacuum left over by Carmine Falcone’s death with himself.
According to SambaTV ‘The Penguin’ holds the top spot for most-watched show this past week. This is the sixth week in a row that ‘The Penguin’ is at the top.
‘Agatha All Along’ is nowhere to be seen. It’s unfortunate that SambaTV did nit provide exact numbers. ‘The Penguin’ is followed by 4 shows on Netflix ‘Woman of the Hour,’ ‘The Lincoln Lawyer’ ‘Don’t Move’ and ‘Love is Blind.’
In its opening week, the show attracted 5.3 million U.S. viewers across all platforms since its September 19 debut, surpassing the final season premiere of ‘Succession’ (4.9 million) and the second season premiere of ‘The White Lotus’ (4.1 million).
It also achieved the largest 4-day audience for a new series on Max globally since ‘The Last of Us’ in January 2023.
‘The Penguin’ is also notably absent from Nielsen’s Originals rankings for a second week in a row:
