The DCU’s television side is moving quickly with Peacemaker and the upcoming animated series Creature Commandos, which promises to be a wild and exciting ride. The series will officially premiere on Max tomorrow, December 5, 2024, and our early review shows it’s shaping up to be very promising.

So far, reactions have been mostly positive, with Creature Commandos looking like it will be a hit among DC fans, proving that James Gunn knows exactly what he’s doing with the DCU since taking full control.

As anticipation grows, fans are already getting creative. We’ve come across a fantastic piece of fan art that reimagines one of the series’ main characters in an amazing way!

Creature Commandos is shaping up to be a very intriguing series, and we can imagine that Gunn and the writers had a tough job balancing all the characters to ensure its success. However, early reviews suggest they’ve done a great job, and we’re excited to see how it turns out.

Indira Varma will voice the Bride of Frankenstein, who is set to be one of the key members of the team—if you can even call them heroes—and one of the main characters in the series, as confirmed earlier.

Given her important role, it’s no surprise that fans are eagerly anticipating her character. In fact, we came across a fantastic piece of fan art that we just had to share with you!

Artist Felipe Illa has shared a live-action style sketch of the character, giving us a realistic look at the voice actress in the role. While it’s still a sketch, it’s detailed enough for us to imagine how the character might appear in a live-action setting. The artist’s official description reads: “Working for fun, okay? Creature Commandos is coming soon! Why not bring the characters’ live-action look to life? It’s like a ‘What If’ idea!”

James Gunn has mentioned that his DCU characters are being designed to easily switch between live-action and animated formats, so this could hint at something for the future. Stay tuned for more updates and be sure to keep following us!
