Insider Claims ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Will Test Matt’s Psyche Like Never Before, Driven by a Notorious Villain

The highly anticipated Marvel series, Daredevil: Born Again, is set to be a turning point with a major impact on the future of MCU television. Why? Because, although Daredevil and the other characters from the original Marvel TV lineup have only recently been integrated into the MCU, Marvel now has access to a broader cast of characters than ever before, opening up a wealth of exciting possibilities.

While much is already known about the show’s plot and characters, many questions remain about the upcoming season. This supposedly darker installment is expected to shape the future of the titular hero in significant ways.

With rising stakes and increasingly formidable foes, Matt Murdock will find himself under more pressure than ever. How will this affect his psyche? We may not know for certain, but a well-known and reliable insider just might have the answer!

The insider in question is Alex Perez of the Cosmic Circus, who recently shared some intriguing details about Daredevil while responding to fan questions. Among his revelations, he hinted that Marvel is planning a second season, which will delve deeper into the stories of two specific characters.

Daredevil: Hi Alex, I hope everything is going well. What can we expect from Bullseye and Punisher moving forward past season 1 of Born Again?

Alex: For them to show up in season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again. But as I understand it, Punisher’s role will be explored more in the 2nd season than the first because the show feels more like a setup for his story to continue in the next season from what was described to me.

Additionally, Perez revealed how Matt’s character will evolve throughout the series as his opponents grow increasingly formidable:

Daredevil: How would you describe Matt’s mental state throughout the course of Born Again?

Alex: In my opinion, he’ll be pushed to the brink further than he had been in the Netflix show because of the threat of Muse coming to New York, Fisk as Mayor, vigilantes being outlawed, and Matt being attacked from every direction of his life because of these storylines. This show gets dark at some points that go a bit further than they have before.

Finally, Perez disclosed the exact role Bullseye will play in the series:

Berotor28: Hey Alex. Is there anything you can tease or say about the role Bullseye will play in DDBA?

Alex: He’s going to make Matt very, very angry.

Daredevil: Born Again promises to delve deeply into both the villains and Matt Murdock’s crumbling mental state. This dual focus has us thrilled, as it opens up numerous exciting possibilities for the show!
