Insider Claims the DCU Is Casting a Character Named Caitilin Bates, Possible Identity Revealed

The DCU is still in its early days, as we are waiting for the premiere of James Gunn’s Superman, which is going to be the first proper installment in the hopefully successful franchise. DC’s been having problems ever since the DCEU collapsed and Gunn and Peter Safran are now working to rebuild it from scratch.

As the universe is growing, you can assume that there are many rumors going around and DanielRPK has revealed a new one via his Patreon account. The rumor is related to a potential casting, but there is a catch – the character in question is a big enigma!

DanielRPK has shared that the DCU is currently casting a female character known as Caitilin Bates. This is great, but there is a catch – no such character exists in the DC universe, which means that we’re probably dealing with a major change to the lore; we doubt a rumor for a random OC would be this relevant.

Richtman proposes two possible theories as to Caitilin’s true identity. The first one states that she is actually a gender-swapped iteration of Hannibal Batesi, better known as Everyman, which is based on the character’s last name.

The second theory, which is far more attractive in terms of the DCU’s future, is that she is actually Caitilin Snow, who is better known as the villainess Killer Frost. Killer Frost is a much bigger character than Everyman, so this being her would be a much bigger scoop.

Be that as it may, this is still just a rumor that you should definitely take with a grain of salt, but it is interesting to see what the buzz is all about when the DCU is concerned.
