For most of our readers, the name Ryan Coogler is undoubtedly familiar. Best known as the director and co-writer of the highly successful Black Panther films in the MCU, Coogler has made a significant mark on the industry. While fans eagerly await his return to complete the trilogy, we recently reported that Coogler is working on a new, unrelated project.
This upcoming film is said to be a period piece centered around vampires, with an initial release date set for early 2025. However, given that the production is still in its early stages, the release date could shift.
When we first reported on the film, details were scarce—no title or concrete plot information was available, and much of what we knew was based on rumors. Now, popular Hollywood insider DanielRPK has shared more details about this highly anticipated project.
In our earlier report, we mentioned that Coogler’s next project was set for a global theatrical release on March 7, 2025 (though, given the early stage of production, that date could still change). The film will reunite Coogler with Michael B. Jordan, marking their fifth collaboration. At the time, details were scarce, but we did learn a few things.
It was rumored that the film would be a vampire movie set in the 1930s, with Michael B. Jordan playing twin characters. However, the genre—whether horror, comedy, or action—was still unknown. Now, popular insider DanielRPK has shared more insights on his Patreon.
According to DanielRPK, the movie will be titled Sinners, a fitting name for its themes. He also confirms the rumors that Jordan will indeed be playing twins, which promises to showcase more of Jordan’s incredible range. Additionally, DanielRPK shared the first synopsis for the film, providing more context for the project.
Trying to leave their troubled lives behind, twin brothers (Jordan) return to their hometown to start again, only to discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back.
As you can see, this points toward the film potentially being an action/horror blend, though we’re still awaiting more specifics. What we do know is that the release is still slated for early next year, and we’ll keep you updated with the latest information as soon as it becomes available!
