Hulk is one of the most popular Marvel characters and by extension MCU characters. He was last seen in ‘She-Hulk’ released in 2022 when he introduced his son. He’s been mentioned in loads of projects, however, but fans are still expecting to see him on the big screen.

There have been rumors that Hulk will make an appearance in ‘Captain America: Brave New World,’ something that even Ruffalo himself confirmed, but later said he was mistaken and he doesn’t have a role in the movie.

Now industry insider Alex Perez addressed Hulk’s future in the MCU via his Discord AMA. Hulk questions are always popular taking into account the rumored “World War Hulk” setup, but it seems that we won’t see Hulk anytime soon.

Alex Perez confirmed that Mark Ruffalo will not appear in ‘Brave New World,’ ‘Fantastic Four: First Steps’ or ‘Thunderbolts*’ before ‘Doomsday.’ This makes sense considering he isn’t all that important to set up the stories of Fantastic Four and Thunderbolts in general.

Perez also addressed rumors regarding the “Maestro Hulk” variant that was supposed to be included in future multiversal movies. He said that Maestro could potentially be part of the Multiverse Saga, but only if Marvel decides to include him in future storylines.

Maestro, at this point in time, could only work as part of the Multiverse Saga IF they decide to bring him in.

But not everything is dark, at least as far as Hulk’s solo movie goes. Ruffalo confirmed almost a year ago that he was told right at the beginning he would never get a solo movie and that his story should expand in other movies.

This is mostly due to the character’s complicated rights that belong to Universal. Even though there has been news that the issue has since been resolved, so far we’ve seen little evidence of it.

Perez hinted that a new Hulk movie is likely coming soon, mentioning an unknown Marvel project called Shadowstone Productions, which is linked to Hulk.

BraveFire: Hi Alex! I know all the Hulk questions are very complicated to answer, but I hope that won’t be the case. There are a lot of rumors going around right now about the start of a Wolverine vs Hulk movie development (Cryptic, MTTSH and other scoopers have been feeding the rumor). My question is: do you think Wolverine vs Hulk and World War Hulks are one and the same movie or 2 separate/different projects?

Alex Perez: It wouldn’t be a smart idea to compound both of those story arc ideas into one movie, so I think they’re separate movies. But I’m fairly certain we’re getting a Hulk movie soon. There’s still the matter of the unknown Marvel Production titled “Shadowstone Productions” which we reported on 2 years ago. And Shadowstone is a Marvel mineral tied to Hulk, so…we’ll see what happens.
