Insider Teases Major Casting for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ that Will Also Have a Major Role in ‘Secret Wars’

Out of all MCU projects, fans are naturally most excited about the two upcoming ‘Avengers’ installments – ‘Doomsday’ and ‘Secret Wars.’ Little is known about the productions of the movies and their respectable plots but we can assume that they are going to adapt the ‘Times Runs Out’ storyline and ‘Secret Wars’ events.

RDJ is returning to the MCU but not as Iron Man, he is returning as Doctor Doom, and he will play a central role in this multiversal conflict. Fantastic Four were also already confirmed to be in the movie, as well as presumably the Avengers.

When it comes to the other characters, all we have to go on are rumors, and rumors at this point claim that over 50 characters are bound to be included in the movie, including some popular Marvel legacy characters.

Daniel Richtman, a popular industry insider recently posted a rumor on his private Patreon that Marvel Studios is looking to cast a “secret role” for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’. The character is a well-known Marvel figure who will also play a big part in ‘Avengers: Secret Wars.’

Judging by the mysterious description it should be almost impossible to guess which character is in question. However, there is one iconic name in the comics that played a massive part in ‘Time Runs Out’ and ‘Secret Wars’ that so far hasn’t been mentioned in the context of the MCU – Beyonder.

In the comics the Beyonders caused the Incursions, where alternate realities collided, threatening to destroy entire universes unless one Earth was destroyed. They did this as an experiment to study life and destruction, throwing the multiverse into chaos and forcing heroes and villains to fight to save reality, and yes this is the storyline in which Beyonder managed to kill The Living Tribunal.

Doctor Doom learned about the Beyonders’ plan and took action. With help, he defeated them and stole their godlike power. Doom used this power to create Battleworld, a realm made from pieces of destroyed universes, and made himself its ruler, calling himself “God Emperor Doom.” This power lets him temporarily hold the shattered multiverse together.

We’ve been missing Beyonder as the last piece of the puzzle and theorized on several occasions that perhaps Scarlet Witch or Franklin Richards could replace his role in the story.

If the rumored casting truly is Beyonder, we have no reason to theorize on the “alternate” sources of power for creating Battleworld and by extension Secret Wars.
