Is ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Setting up the Young Avengers? Casting Choices & a Video Confirms So!

‘Daredevil: Born Again’ is the most exciting upcoming MCU project in terms of live-action shows. It’s not Daredevil’s first appearance in the MCU, but it’s finally going to somewhat merge the Defenders Saga with the mainline MCU.

The show is set to expand on the street-level aspect of the MCU, something that fans have been asking for recently in the midst of Multiversal themes.

Surprisingly, due to the recently leaked D23 footage, it seems that ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ will also feature some potential connections to Young Avengers.

The teaser trailer has revealed some interesting plot points and characters that we can expect in the upcoming first season. First, now it’s officially been confirmed that Muse will be the villain in the series. White Tiger will also make an appearance confirming the speculation that started with set leaks, and Bullseye will start the season in jail.

It appears that Matt Murdock and Kingpin will have some kind of an understanding but it will presumably fall through. The show connects to Ms. Marvel surprisingly by showcasing Yusuf Khan, the father of Kamala Khan.

In the footage, Yusuf appears twice: first, in court, making a gesture as if guns are aimed at him, and second, at the trailer’s end, asking Matt, “What kind of lawyer are you?” to which Matt replies, “A really good one,” referencing ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home.’ Yusuf’s role is unclear, but it seems Matt might represent him in a court case. While Ms. Marvel is unlikely to appear, Yusuf will probably mention Kamala due to their familial connection.

Now Young Avengers is an initiative that started back in ‘The Marvels’ as she aimed to gather the children of already established heroes, or younger characters that assumed the mantles of older heroes. We know that a movie has been in rumored development for quite some time but no project since then has referenced it.

The connection likely won’t be a strong one but it’s supposed to be just enough to remind you that Young Avengers are still a thing.
