‘The Boys,’ a globally acclaimed superhero series, premiered its fourth season on June 13, 2024, unveiling its first three episodes. Initial reactions were mixed, but the series has gained momentum and is now Certified Fresh with strong ratings, despite ongoing controversies.

Looking beyond the reception, fans are eagerly speculating about the story’s evolution, particularly concerning a pivotal question: will Vought International ever face downfall, and how could it be brought about? Vought embodies everything wrong in the world of ‘The Boys,’ prompting fans to ponder when its inevitable demise might occur.

We don’t yet know how ‘The Boys’ will conclude, but we’ve come across past remarks from showrunner Eric Kripke hinting that defeating Vought might be close to impossible. It’s rather disheartening to consider.

These comments were made to The Wrap during Season 2, when Kripke was asked to reflect on current events in the series. Just to jog your memory: During that period, Starlight and Hughie exposed Vought’s creation of supes using Compound V to the public. While this revelation was expected to incite widespread outrage capable of toppling the company, as we know, things didn’t quite unfold that way.

When asked about Vought’s survival post-scandal, Kripke responded by praising Stan Edgar’s strategic acumen and implying a less optimistic future than fans had anticipated.

Here’s what I will tease, without giving it away, which is Edgar is an intelligent, Machiavellian CEO. We hit pretty strongly from Episode 201 on that he knows the V news is gonna come out and he’s already got plans in place as to how to turn that to his advantage — of which Stormfront (series newcomer Aya Cash) will be a big part of.

He says to Homelander, ‘I don’t have to tell you why I put Stormfront on the team.’ But ultimately, she’s on the team because he’s got a plan of how he can leverage this news about Compound V into more profits for the company. So I think they’re going to survive just fine. I think at the end of the day, which is sort of a point we’re making, so many of these companies, they say, ‘We’re too big to fail!’ And for some reason that’s OK? And I think Vought is no exception.

Even now, Vought International remains a formidable adversary in the series, a powerful corporation with immense influence—not merely a single individual like Homelander. Bringing it down will require more effort than anyone anticipates. That’s precisely why we eagerly await the final season and why you should continue following us. We’ll keep you informed every step of the way!
