As you can see, Josh addressed the issue subtly, and Gunn made it clear that the rumors were unfounded. He stated he never wanted Feige’s job at Marvel, which makes sense given his current role at DC alongside Peter Safran, while Feige remains in full control of Marvel Studios.

Gunn went on to explain how he focuses on the creative side of the DCU, while Safran handles the business aspects. Gunn admitted he doesn’t have the CEO mindset for managing business, which is why he wouldn’t have been a good fit to replace Feige. His partnership with Safran, with Gunn leading the creative direction, is what makes their collaboration work so well.
