James McAvoy Claims That Fight Between Avengers and X-Men Would Be Over in Minutes: “They’d all be taking their clothes off”

With the release of ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ the mutant era in the MCU has officially begun as Feige stated before the movie’s release. We already theorized how the MCU can set up a fight between mutants and Avengers, and it would be a showdown between the most powerful characters in the MCU.

The X-Men live-action reboot is on the horizon, as well as the new Avengers lineup, so the question of how the fight between the two teams would turn out to be and James McAvoy, who portrayed Professor X in Fox X-Men franchise had some interesting answers.

McAvoy was asked what happens when X-Men and the Avengers enter the cage, and his answer can be summarized as – “It would be over in minutes” due to some funny tactics:

There’s like 40 of us, and like 5 of them. And one of them is half-man, half-robot, you just turn off the power and he’s done. And another one’s a guy with a shield who is a bit strong. I mean come on. And there’s another – who’s the other one? The guy with a bow and arrow? We’ve got guns and stuff. He’s [Wolverine] got claws. I can just go like “sit down” and they’ll all sit down. I”l be like “have a cup of tea” they’ll all be having a cup of tea. I could be like “take your clothes off” and they’d all be taking their clothes off. It would be a disaster.

While McAvoy’s simplified description of this showdown makes sense in theory, not all fans agree with him that it would be that easy:
