HBO’s upcoming Harry Potter series is probably the most anticipated television event currently. And while the project has been pushed back, fans are eagerly waiting for news and even rumors, as everyone is interested to see what the series will look like and how different it will be from the movies.

We have been promised a very faithful adaptation of Rowling’s books, as well as a series that will run for a decade and add a lot of material that was omitted from the popular film series. Still, there’s very little official information, but we have a new rumor for you!

We know that John Lithgow will portray Albus Dumbledore in the series, but aside from that, nothing has been confirmed yet. We’ve heard rumors about Snape, Quirrell, and even Voldemort, and now a new report claims that the producers have their eyes set on Maggie Smith’s successor for the role of Minerva McGonagall!
