Fans of “Supernatural” have something exciting to look forward to! Jared Padalecki is set to appear in the fifth and final season of Amazon’s hit series “The Boys,” reuniting on-screen with his former co-star Jensen Ackles.

Padalecki recently spoke about his role, revealing that while he’s thrilled to be part of the show, he doesn’t know many details about his character yet. “I don’t know a whole lot about it, which is effing terrifying,” he admitted.

The news of his casting was confirmed by “The Boys” social media accounts, which also announced that fellow “Supernatural” alum Misha Collins will make an appearance in season five. The show’s producers have not yet shared how Padalecki’s character will fit into the storyline, but one thing is certain—he will have scenes with Ackles.

I don’t know exactly what we’re doing,” Padalecki said.” I don’t know if we like, bump into each other. I don’t know much about it. They’re still trying to write and figure out who’s gonna be there. But it’ll be the end of this month.

It’s no surprise that so many “Supernatural” stars have joined “The Boys.” The show’s creator, Eric Kripke, was also behind “Supernatural,” which ran for 15 seasons from 2005 to 2020. Ackles plays Soldier Boy in “The Boys,” and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who played John Winchester in “Supernatural,” appeared in season four as Joe Kessler.

Padalecki shared that Kripke personally invited him to join the show. “I know Eric Kripke very well. He was like, ‘Hey, you wanna come play?’ and I said, ‘Yes, I think?’” he joked.

At first, Padalecki was hesitant, but his wife, Genevieve Padalecki, encouraged him to take the role. “She asked me if I was excited about it, and I said yes. Then she said, ‘Then do it.’ That was all I needed to hear.

When discussing the unpredictable nature of “The Boys,” Padalecki joked about one of his biggest concerns. “Literally my text to Eric Kripke was like, ‘Hey, if I’m getting naked, just give me like a month’s notice to eat broccoli and rice and chicken breasts and all day long just sit there doing push-ups.

Although he’s a little nervous, Padalecki knows fans will love seeing him back on screen with Ackles. “It’s fucking terrifying for me” he admitted.

With Padalecki and Collins joining the mix, the final season of “The Boys” is shaping up to be unforgettable
