Jessica Jones premiered on Netflix on November 20, 2015, and quickly gained a large audience. The first season received high praise from critics, who highlighted Krysten Ritter’s performance as Jessica and David Tennant’s role as Kilgrave.
The show’s dark tone and its handling of serious topics like trauma and abuse were also commended.
Recently, Carrie-Anne Moss, who played Jeri Hogarth in Marvel’s Netflix series Jessica Jones, has expressed an interest in reprising her role within MCU. In a recent interview, Moss shared her enthusiasm, stating, “I loved playing her, one of my favorite roles I’ve ever played. I would, of course, love to play her again.”
Hogarth is a straightforward and determined lawyer who first appeared in Jessica Jones and later showed up in Daredevil, Iron Fist, and Defenders.
Despite her eagerness, Moss acknowledged the uncertainty surrounding her character’s return, noting, “I don’t see that. I’m pretty intuitive. I don’t feel that coming my way. But I don’t know.”
The integration of Netflix’s Marvel characters into the broader MCU has been a hot topic for the last few years. Notably, Charlie Cox’s Daredevil (Spider-Man: No Way Home, She-Hulk, Echo) and Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin (Hawkeye, Echo) have made MCU appearances.
Both actors are also set to reprise their roles in the upcoming Disney+ series Daredevil: Born Again, with Karen, Foggy, and Frank also returning.
However, the return of other characters, including Jeri Hogarth, remains uncertain. Moss’s candid remarks highlight the ambiguity surrounding her character’s future in the MCU. While fans remain hopeful, there has been no official confirmation regarding Hogarth’s return.
As the MCU continues to expand, the potential for beloved characters like Jeri Hogarth to reappear remains a topic of interest. Moss’s enthusiasm for the role underscores the impact of her character and leaves the door open for future possibilities within the Marvel universe.
