Justin Baldoni’s Lawyer Denies ‘Revoltingly False’ Sexual Allegations from Blake Lively Amid Lawsuit Battle

The tension between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni began months ago during the filming of It Ends With Us. After the movie finished, Lively accused Baldoni of harassment on set, body shaming, inappropriate romantic scenes, and damaging her public reputation after the film was released.

Things were quiet for a while, but later Lively filed a legal complaint, turning the situation into one of the biggest celebrity controversies of the year and eventually leading to a federal lawsuit. Recently, Baldoni filed his own complaint and lawsuit against The Times.

It seems Baldoni has also decided to take legal action against Lively & Ryan Reynolds. He, along with his film studio Wayfarer, CEO Jamey Heath, and PR reps Melissa Nathan and Jennifer Abel, have filed a lawsuit in New York federal court. The lawsuit includes claims of extortion, defamation, breach of contract, and more, asking for at least $400 million in damages.

Bryan Freedman, the attorney for Justin Baldoni, stated that after his clients filed a detailed lawsuit with strong evidence proving the false allegations against them, Blake Lively and her legal team have resorted to making false sexual allegations against Baldoni as their last defense. He emphasized that these allegations are completely untrue.

After my clients filed a comprehensive lawsuit packed with almost 200 pages of undeniable facts and documentary evidence which crushed their false allegations of a smear campaign by providing doctored communications to the New York Times, Blake and her legal team have just one heinous pivot left, and that is to double down on the revoltingly false sexual allegations against Mr. Baldoni

Freedman responded to Blake Lively’s legal team after they filed their own response to Baldoni’s lawsuit. It follows Lively’s previous lawsuit, which accused Baldoni and his associates of sexual harassment and a smear campaign.

Lively’s legal team quickly responded, calling Baldoni’s lawsuit part of a typical abuser’s strategy. They claimed that while Lively focuses on the abuse, Baldoni is attacking her, and insisted that his lawsuit doesn’t address the evidence in her complaint and will ultimately fail.

Lively’s team had accused Baldoni’s legal team of attacking her, but Freedman argued that Lively was attempting to destroy Baldoni’s reputation without allowing him to defend himself. He emphasized that Baldoni had always tried to handle issues with Lively professionally, despite disagreements. Freedman vowed to continue defending his clients and to fight harder for those in the domestic violence community who are suffering, accusing Lively of pursuing a personal vendetta in the media.

The mere fact that Ms. Lively feels that she can publicly destroy Mr. Baldoni’s reputation in an attempt to devastate his future career and then deny him or his team their own ability to defend theirselves against her is preposterous. Mr Baldoni never once publicly attempted to call Ms. Lively out for her own many wrongdoings during filming, he kindly addressed all her concerns during filming in the correct manner despite the fact that he wholly disagreed, he himself was committed to do things differently and to keep the peace as she specifically admitted to in her own lawsuit. We will not only continue to defend our clients against Blake’s power, privilege and all out lies, but we will now fight even harder for the voiceless in the DV community who are unfairly suffering while she continues to push on her own self-serving and selfish vendetta in the media.
