K-Drama ‘Boyfriend on Demand’ Moves to Netflix, Starring BLACKPINK’s Jisoo & Seo In Guk!

Exciting news for K-drama fans! The upcoming romantic drama Boyfriend on Demand has officially moved from the South Korean network MBC to Netflix. The series will feature BLACKPINK’s Jisoo and popular actor Seo In Guk in the lead roles. While details about the show are still limited, filming is already underway and has recently wrapped up in the Philippines. The drama is expected to be released in 2026.
Boyfriend on Demand is a South Korean romantic drama directed by Kim Jung Shik. It tells the story of Seo Mi Rae, a webtoon producer who wants to find love but is afraid of the risks that come with real relationships. To avoid heartbreak, she joins a virtual dating program called Monthly Boyfriend, where she can experience risk-free relationships with hundreds of men.
Jisoo, a BLACKPINK member for nearly nine years, has starred in Snowdrop and Newtopia, with guest roles in several K-dramas. Seo In Guk, known for Reply 1997, has a busy schedule with upcoming dramas like Twelve and Smoking Gun, and has appeared in Café Minamdang on Netflix.
Several talented actors, including Ryu Abel, Kang Min Woo, and Song Ha Na, will take on supporting roles. The cast also features Park Ji Ho as Kim Seung Hun, along with Yoo Sun Ho, Kim Sung Cheol, Gong Min Jung, Seo Hyo Rim, and Ko Kyu Pil.
The drama will consist of 10 episodes in total. While there is no official release date yet, the series is expected to premiere on Netflix in 2026.
With its unique storyline and star-studded cast, Boyfriend on Demand is already generating excitement. Fans of Jisoo and Seo In Guk will definitely want to keep an eye on this highly anticipated K-drama!
