We’re more than halfway through ‘Agatha All Along,’ Agatha’s solo show that also serves as a spinoff to ‘WandaVision.’ In ‘WandaVision’ Agatha was primarily a villain, although hints of something more could be seen.
Now the first few episodes of the new show perhaps even hinted that Agatha might have some kind of redemption arc in store for her at the end of the show. However, the closer we’re coming towards the finale the more we’re convinced something tragic going to happen.
In any case, Agatha’s show is finally showing us the supernatural side of the MCU, full of the occult, magic, and demons. Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch have already been massive parts of the MCU, yes, but their stories were mostly connected to the overarching ‘Avengers’ narratives, as not a lot of focus was given to the magic itself.
Now with a plethora of new characters, concepts, and dangers introduced, we have to wonder, if Agatha survives the events of the show, what could be next in store for her? Who better to answer these questions than Kathryn Hahn, the star of the show?
During her latest ‘Happy Sad Confused’ appearance, Hahn answered several questions related to her potential MCU future. Agatha’s comic background as a governess for Reed Richards and Sue Storm’s son, Franklin was referenced.
Hahn stated the potential for incorporating more grounded and experienced witches into MCU films, noting that Scarlet Witch has been portrayed as a less trained witch thus far.
I keep thinking about witches, and this is the first time an old-school, learned witch that learned from their mother’s covens their grandmother’s covens, like, these are the first witches that are, like, rooted to the earth. Y’know, the Scarlet Witch is is so untrained. She’s born with this incredible chaos and magic…
Hahn said that she believes witches could serve as a fantastic addition to the MCU. She described her introduction as Agatha as feeling like she was “coming in through a side door,” suggesting a unique entry into the franchise.
I think the witches are a really great… A really great, great way in anywhere. And I also- That’s why, when it was a witch that I was proposed to enter the Marvel Cinematic Universe, I was like… It really felt wicked stepsister-y, like we were getting away with something, coming in through, like, a side door.
We were like, ‘Don’t mind me!’ Because it really did feel like, when is someone gonna pull the plug?”
The actress believes there is significant potential for fun in integrating Agatha and her coven of witches from the show into various groups of MCU characters.
But I do think that there, there is… would be a lot of potential fun in just dropping a witch into any grouping.

But, is that really the case? Yes, you can theoretically drop any character anywhere, but that doesn’t mean it’s going to make sense or be good. We know that ‘Ironheart’ will attempt to merge magic and technology, as the show is set to introduce Mephisto in the proper way, but we still have no idea whether that will be executed well.
Ultimately, Agatha could have a future, through two uncommitted Marvel projects. The first is the supposed Wiccan solo movie, which is supposed to adapt the ‘The Children’s Crusade’ storyline and the search for Tommy Maximoff aka Speed.
The second project is the rumored ‘Midnight Sons’ movie, which is supposed to see a legendary team gather in the MCU to fight supernatural threats. Agatha could also appear in ‘Secret Wars,’ but it would have to be a really small cameo based on everything we’re hearing about the movie so far.
