‘Fantastic Four: First Steps’ is one of the most eagerly awaited releases in the MCU. The movie is set to come out on July 25, 2025, and we’ve already had a sneak peeks from the set that promise exciting comic-accurate experience.
The film will take place in an alternate reality and will introduce the Fantastic Four it’s reportedly bound to feature some of their most famous villains.
Principal photography for the film began on July 30, 2024, at Pinewood Studios in London, with the working title Blue Moon. Jess Hall, who previously worked with director Matt Shakman on WandaVision, is the cinematographer.
Filming was expected to last five months. The production was delayed several times, initially expected to start in 2023, then January 2024, and finally beginning in August 2024. The film is being shot for IMAX.
Now during the D23 Marvel Studios panel in Brazil, Feige confirmed that the movie has about ” a few weeks of filming” left. This is definitely exciting and means that we will get the trailer sooner rather than later.
First look was also shown to the attendees of the panel:
The cast for ‘First Steps’ includes Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm, with Moss-Bachrach using performance capture and CGI for his role.
Julia Garner will play Shalla-Bal aka MCU’s Silver Surfer, while Ralph Ineson portrays Galactus, one of Marvel’s most powerful villains (well depending on how you view him). Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich, and Natasha Lyonne have been cast in undisclosed roles, with Mole Man also expected to appear.
