Kevin Feige Reveals a New Marvel Special Is in the Works: “You just have to wait”

Despite Bog Iger announcing that MCU will reduce its creative output going forward, numerous projects are currently either in development or rumored to be in development. ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ is the only MCU movie being released this year, but later this year we can look forward to the release of ‘Agatha All Along’ TV series and several animated projects.

In the last few months, some rumored projects have been confirmed, like ‘Nova’ a live-action show focusing on Richard Rider, and ‘Vision Quest,’ a show focusing on White Vision.

However, in a plethora of these movies, shows, and animated projects, it seems like Marvel Studios is developing new special like ‘The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special’ and ‘Werewolf by Night.’

Feige recently sat down with Collider to promote what’s to come in the future of the MCU and he confirmed that a special presentation is in the works, but he was also notoriously mysterious when it comes to details.

Werewolf by Night and the Guardians [of the Galaxy] specialI love these special presentations, and all the fans did as well. What do we need to do to get more special presentations?

FEIGE: There will be more. You just have to wait.

Are you actually actively in development on one right now?

FEIGE: Yes.

More than one?

FEIGE: Just one right now.

Is it next year?

FEIGE: No.

Okay, so it’s something in the future.

FEIGE: Yes.

As you can see, there are not many details involved in this reveal. The previous two specials have received excellent critical receptions and fans loved the idea. Perhaps special is a perfect answer to follow up on the characters that were introduced in phase 4 but so far have been in large part neglected by the subsequent projects.
