‘Law & Order: Organized Crime’ Season 5 to Premiere on NBC and Peacock
Fans of Law & Order: Organized Crime will get to watch the Season 5 premiere on both NBC and Peacock. While the show was originally set to stream only on Peacock, NBCUniversal announced that the first episode will also air on NBC at 10 p.m. ET.
The new season, starring Christopher Meloni as Detective Elliot Stabler, will continue to follow his work with the Organized Crime Control Bureau. The show’s cast includes Danielle Moné Truitt, Rick Gonzalez, Olivia Thirlby, Ainsley Seiger, and Dean Norris.
Before Organized Crime begins, NBC will air a big crossover event with Law & Order and Law & Order: SVU from 8-10 p.m. ET. According to the official description, the story starts when SVU Captain Olivia Benson gets a mysterious phone call leading detectives to a gruesome crime. Their investigation uncovers a pattern of violent attacks targeting women, and prosecutors work together to bring the criminal to justice.
While Organized Crime won’t be part of this crossover, SVU star Mariska Hargitay hinted that there will still be connections between the shows. “Chris and I were talking about it, and it’s time. It’s time now for us,” she said, teasing future interactions between Benson and Stabler.
This season, Stabler will take on dangerous smuggling operations, high-tech terrorism, and a powerful crime family that wants revenge on him for past events in Rome. As threats rise, he will do whatever it takes to fight for justice and protect those in need.
Law & Order: Organized Crime is produced by Universal Television and Wolf Entertainment, with executive producers Dick Wolf, Christopher Meloni, Matt Olmstead, John Shiban, Mike Slovis, Peter Jankowski, and Tim Walsh.
The show’s usual 10 p.m. timeslot was previously held by Found, which will temporarily move to Monday, April 14, before returning to Thursdays the following week.
