Thunderbolts*’ is one of the most exciting upcoming projects, the movie is set to release on May 2, 2025, and it’s finally going to introduce Marvel’s equivalent of “Suicide Squad’ to the larger cinematic universe.

Not much is known about the plot of the movie except that Thunderbolts will be sent on a mission, discover Setnry, find out that someone has been making them chase their tails, and apparently some ulterior motives will be revealed.

The Thunderbolts team features Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, Hannah John-Kamen as the phasing Ghost; Wyatt Russell as the ex-Captain America, John Walker; and Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, a Black Widow. Julia Louis-Dreyfus plays CIA director Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, while David Harbour is Alexei Shostakov / Red Guardian, and Olga Kurylenko is Taskmaster. Harrison Ford will star as President Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, with Lewis Pullman and Geraldine Viswanathan in supporting roles. Laurence Fishburne and Rachel Weisz are also set to reprise their MCU roles.

We’ve seen the trailer for the movie during this year’s D23 however it was for audiences only and all videos circulating online have been scrubbed soon after leaking. But Internet always wins so recently, a trailer footage showcasing a fight between Yelena Belova and John Walker has been posted to social media, and fans loved it.

This fight is part of a longer scene during which Yelena and John figure out that the same person sent them toward the same target, and the target is them, as they were expected to eliminate each other. They eventually decided to work together to uncover this mystery when they discovered Bob Reynolds, aka Sentry.

Fans are already debating whether the movie will be better than the upcoming ‘Captain America’ movie. You can briefly see how Ghost will have radically different costumes in the movie.

‘Thunderbolts*’ definitely looks promising, which many fans agreed, especially following the somewhat difficult development marked by the SAG-AFTRA strike. Have something to add? Let us know in the comments below!
