Leslye Headland Gives Fans Hope That They Will See More of Jecki and Yord

We’re slowly coming closer to the final episode of ‘The Acolyte,’ and the story of Osha, Mae, Qimir, and Master Sol will hopefully be wrapped up. We’ve left two major cast members behind in episode 5 when fan-favorites Jecki Lon and Yord were brutally killed by Qimir, proving how menacing and dangerous he is.

Headland recently explained how the big twist of episode 5 wasn’t the indemnity of The Stranger, since it was obvious from the first scene that it was a “goofy” poison seller, the big twist was that the showrunners did not shy away from eliminating two major characters more than halfway through the show.

During her recent press release, Leslye Headland was asked whether fans can expect to see more of Jecki and Lon, and she sort of teased that there is, but perhaps not in a way that we would expect:

Since wrapping up the season, there’s definitely some stuff that I would love to see come to fruition. Obviously, Vernestra already exists in publishing, so also going to do something there.

Headland also explained that despite the plans always being to kill off both Jecki and Yord, the actor developed a lot of backstories for the characters in the writers’ room, something which can now be used to expand on their origin stories, since we already know how it ends.

So, it was kind of fun to think about them a lot and then think, ‘Well, because we didn’t spend a lot of time with them, maybe there’s a way we could keep playing around with them somehow

Jecki and Yord are not the only potential characters to receive publication detailing their origin stories. It’s been already confirmed that fans can expect a one-shot comic focusing on Live-action’s first Wookiee Jedi, Kelnacca.
