Lucasfilm Officially Working on a New Star Wars Animated Show

Lucasfilm has plenty of new projects lined up for release as a part of the Star Wars franchise, we have at least two live-action movies in development, we’re early awaiting the release of ‘Star Wars: Skeleton Crew’ and it looks like the animated portion is not being ignored as well.

‘Star Wars: The Bad Batch’ recently aired its last season, and we are also awaiting a new ‘Young Jedi Adventures’ season to kick off. Apparently, there’s also a new animated project in the works.

The news did not come from the official Lucasfilm announcement but rather from a job posting posted on the official site.

Lucasfilm is seeking a Shot Production Coordinator. This role involves assisting Associate Production Managers in managing Animation and Lighting department records and processes from pre-production through post-production for an animated TV series.

Fans quickly started speculating what the project might be about. Some assumed that it was another “Tales of the Jedi/Empire” season, which would be awesome but would leave a significant portion of fans disappointed.

Some fans expressed their wish for a “What If…?” series set in a Star Wars universe, something that proved to be successful for the MCU.

What do you think? What the new show will be about?
