A special illustrated and interactive edition of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is set to arrive this fall, published by Scholastic.

This new version will feature the full, original story written by J.K. Rowling, along with stunning full-color illustrations by Karl James Mountford. It will also include eight interactive elements designed by Jess Tice-Gilbert, bringing key moments from the book to life—like the Goblet of Fire itself and the thrilling Triwizard Tournament maze.

In addition to these interactive features, readers will get to explore some of the story’s most iconic locations, including the Weasley family’s magical tent at the Quidditch World Cup and the mysterious depths of the Hogwarts lake.

Mountford, who created the artwork for the new edition, shared his excitement about working on such a beloved story. “I grew up with Harry Potter, and these books are so special. That’s the magic of Harry Potter. The stories are for everyone. Always will be,” he said.

He also admitted the project was both exciting and intimidating. “It’s wonderful, surreal and a little bit terrifying to illustrate this interactive edition,” Mountford said. “It’s an honor to be part of this magical world and work on a story that I love so much.

Scholastic President Ellie Berger praised the release, saying, “We are thrilled to continue publishing these beautifully illustrated interactive editions that Harry Potter fans, as well as new readers, will enjoy reading, treasure, and collect.”

This special edition joins the interactive versions of the first three Harry Potter books, illustrated by MinaLima. Rowling’s Harry Potter series has sold over 600 million copies worldwide and been translated into 85 languages.

The new illustrated edition of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire will be released on October 14.
