Apple TV+ is bringing Neuromancer to life with a 10-episode series, and Mark Strong is stepping into a major role. The show is based on William Gibson’s famous novel and is being developed by Graham Roland and JD Dillard.

The story follows Case, a skilled but broken hacker played by Callum Turner. He’s pulled into a dangerous world of cybercrime alongside Briana Middleton, who plays Molly, a lethal assassin with mirrored eyes. Together, they take on a high-stakes job involving a powerful corporate dynasty hiding dark secrets.

Strong is set to play Armitage, a shadowy figure who hires Case and Molly for their mission. He joins an already impressive cast, including Joseph Lee as Hideo, a professional bodyguard.

The show is a joint effort between Skydance Television, Anonymous Content, and Apple Studios, with Drake’s DreamCrew Entertainment also on board. Roland will serve as showrunner, while Dillard is directing the pilot. The executive producer lineup includes big names like David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Matt Thunell, Zack Hayden, and even William Gibson himself.

Strong was most recently seen as Emperor Javicco Corrino in Dune: Prophecy on Max. His past films include Tár, 1917, Cruella, Zero Dark Thirty, and the Kingsman movies. He recently starred in The Critic with Ian McKellen and wrapped up work on Shadow Force with Kerry Washington and Omar Sy. He is represented by Markham Froggatt & Irwin and WME.
