Marvel Comics’ classic showcase series, Marvel Feature, first hit shelves in the 1970s as a testing ground for new characters and ideas. Running for twelve issues starting in 1971, it helped launch The Defenders and Marvel Two-in-One.

A second volume in 1975 lasted seven issues and set up an ongoing Red Sonja series. Another spin-off, Marvel Double Feature, started in 1973 and featured reprints of Tales of Suspense with different Marvel characters like Captain America, Iron Man, and later Black Panther. It ran for 22 issues before ending.

Now, Disney’s Marvel Press Book Group is reviving Marvel Double Feature with new stories, BleedingCool reports. Scheduled for release on July 1, 2025, these books will bring together Black Panther and Doctor Strange in one volume, and Spider-Man and Ms. Marvel in another. No creators have been named yet, but the excitement is already building for these fresh adventures.

The Black Panther and Doctor Strange volume offers two separate, full-color stories. In Black Panther’s tale, he faces a dire situation when Wakanda’s sacred Mound is attacked just as he’s called away by the Avengers to clear his name after a classified weapon goes missing. Meanwhile, Doctor Strange must team up with mystical allies to handle a chaotic outbreak of werelizards, challenging his preference for working alone.

In the Spider-Man and Ms. Marvel book, Spider-Man’s story sees Peter Parker dealing with his typical juggling act of school and superhero duties. Things escalate when some of his fellow heroes, including Iron Man, start acting suspiciously, putting Spidey in a tough spot. On the other hand, Ms. Marvel’s adventure takes her to Jersey City, where she’s faced with an invasion of mutated birds and needs help from Thor to save the day.

These upcoming releases promise thrilling, action-packed stories that bring together some of Marvel’s most beloved characters in new and exciting ways. Keep an eye out for more details as we get closer to the release date!
