Marvel Studios Reportedly Considering Season 2 of ‘Ms. Marvel’

Following a string of failed projects and massive monetary losses for Marvel Studios, Bob Iger announced that the MCU will continue forward with a reduced creative output. The decision was made following the release of ‘The Marvels’ after the movie concluded its box office run as the lowest-grossing MCU movie of all time, and the only MCU movie not to cross $100 million at the domestic box office

‘The Marvels’ sabotaged future prospects for Monica Rambeau, as the character was reportedly supposed to get a standalone show. Planned ‘Captain Marvel 3’ was also shelved for time being, according to rumors.

One character that wasn’t affected by ‘The Marvels’ fallout is seemingly Iman Vellani’s Ms. Marvel, despite her standalone show being panned by fans and her standalone movie being panned by both critics and fans, it seems that the character has a bright future ahead of her.

The only miniseries currently to get a second season was ‘Loki’ but according to most recent rumors ‘Ms. Marvel’ might get a second season as well. The rumor comes from Daniel Richtman notable industry insider and leaker with a somewhat accurate track record.

This is pretty much everything we know so far about the potential second season but considering that Kamala Khan is being put up front as one of the most important characters in the MCU, we can expect pretty much anything.

We know that as a mutant, Kamala will likely be in the spotlight once mutants are officially introduced to the MCU through the X-Men live-action reboot. She started the Young Avengers initiative back in ‘The Marvels,’ so we can expect her to play one of the main roles in the planned live-action project as well.

There’s also that connection to ‘Daredevil: Born Again,’ allegedly Ms. Marvel was supposed to cameo in the show, but the showrunners decided to connect the Daredevil show to Ms. Marvel through her father – Yusuf Khan.

Iman Vellani confirmed a few months back that Ms. Marvel will also play a major role in the upcoming ‘Marvel Zombies.’ It’s clear that the future is bright, what do you think? Let us know in the comments below!
