While the MCU is currently focused on Robert Downey Jr.’s return as Victor Von Doom, one of Marvel’s most iconic villains, Marvel’s comics are forging ahead with new storylines and character developments. This report will delve into these evolving narratives.
Although Downey won’t be involved in this new project, it’s worth noting that Marvel has announced a new Iron Man series, set to launch on October 23, 2024. An official trailer for the series has been released and is available below. For more details about the series, keep reading!
The new series in question is a comic book series, as Marvel is rebooting its main Iron Man series. Iron Man #1 will be released on October 23, 2024, launching a fresh set of adventures for the iconic Avenger. We’re eager to see what Marvel has planned for this new storyline.
The creative team behind the series includes Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and author Spencer Ackerman (known for Reign of Terror and DC’s Waller vs. Wildstorm), making his Marvel debut as the writer. Rising star Julius Ohta (from HELLVERINE and ALIEN) will handle the artwork, with colors by Alex Sinclair.
Marvel has provided the following details about the plot:
Roxxon and A.I.M. team up to take on Stark Unlimited! But they’re ready for the old Tony Stark. This one? He’s a lot angrier than he used to be. Iron Man is going to war! He’s determined to never hit rock bottom again–his old enemies will face an Iron Man more than willing to fight back, play dirty, and unleash every bit of his intellect to bring them down!
When the best of his own technology fails him, Tony will build a brand-new armor that you can see in action in the new trailer! Dubbed the “Improvised Iron Man,” readers will see it assembled throughout the series as Tony does what he does best—tinkering and upgrading it to counter anything the world throws at him.
