‘Marvel Zombies’ is a new animated miniseries coming to Disney+. Created by Zeb Wells, it is based on the Marvel Comics series and is part of the MCU. The show takes place in an alternate timeline from the ‘What If…?’ episode ‘What If… Zombies?!’ (2021), where a group of survivors must battle former heroes and villains who have turned into zombies. Zeb Wells is the head writer, and Bryan Andrews is the director.

The show was revealed nearly 4 years ago to be in development, and now we are finally close to release.

Marvel Studios recently showcased a teaser trailer for all the upcoming shows including release dates. We can confirm that the show will arrive on Disney+ in October 2025. You can check out the teaser below:

Shang-Chi and Kamala Khan were somewhat confirmed to be the main characters of the show. The series will feature alternate versions of several MCU characters, including Yelena Belova, Katy, Kate Bishop, Red Guardian (Alexei Shostakov), Jimmy Woo, Death Dealer, Shang-Chi, and Xu Wenwu.

It will also showcase zombie versions of characters like Clint Barton (Hawkeye), Steve Rogers (Captain America), Emil Blonsky (Abomination), Ava Starr (Ghost), Wanda Maximoff (Scarlet Witch), Carol Danvers (Captain Marvel), Ikaris, and Okoye.

The show will be rated TV-MA and as such is the first Disney+ Marvel animated show to be designed with an adult audience in mind.
