Marvel’s 2025 Free Comic Book Day: First Look at Free Stories Featuring the Fantastic Four, X-Men, and More!

Fans can now get a sneak peek at the exciting Marvel stories coming for Free Comic Book Day! Free Comic Book Day is on May 3 this year, and Marvel is celebrating with something for every fan! There will be new stories for the Fantastic Four and Amazin Spider-Man, a preview of a new X-Men story, and a look at the first event in the new Ultimate Universe!

For the second year in a row, Marvel will also release a Star Wars comic, giving a sneak peek at upcoming adventures in a galaxy far, far away.

Marvel’s Voices will feature creators and characters from different backgrounds and communities. Plus, there will be a brand-new comic for kids, Spidey and his Amazing Friends, perfect for younger readers!

1. FANTASTIC FOUR/GIANT-SIZE X-MEN #1

The Fantastic Four are responding to a strange interdimensional call. As the X-Men prepare for their big debut, a surprise mutant joins the team, and there’s an additional surprise from Chip Zdarsky. The story is written by Ryan North, Collin Kelly, Jackson Lanzing, and Chip Zdarsky, with art by Humberto Ramos and others.

2. AMAZING SPIDER-MAN/ULTIMATE UNIVERSE #1

Joe Kelly and John Romita Jr. bring us a story that reminds us who Peter Parker and Spider-Man are. The comic also includes a special prologue for this summer’s big Ultimate event, written by Deniz Camp, Cody Ziglar, and Jonas Scharf.

3. STAR WARS #1

Luke Skywalker battles pirates in a dangerous place, while Jedi Qui-Gon Jinn and Tensu Run search for the villain Corlis Rath. The story also introduces a mysterious character named Vanee, linked to both Darth Vader and Kylo Ren.

4. IRONHEART/MARVEL’S VOICES #1

Marvel’s Voices celebrates with a story featuring Ironheart, where she travels to Chicago’s past to explore Black innovation. The issue also includes highlights from the past year, like Mystique and Destiny’s wedding, Patriot’s return to heroism, and the introduction of a new Ghost Rider.

5. IRON MAN & HIS AWESOME FRIENDS/SPIDEY & HIS AMAZING FRIENDS #1

This year’s Free Comic Book Day special features new and beloved characters from two Disney Jr. shows! First, join Iron Man, Iron Heart, and Iron Hulk in an exciting comic. Then, enjoy fun stories and activities with Spidey, Ghost-Spider, and Spin as they keep New York safe from villains.
