Marvel’s Kang Saga Nears Its End: Industry Insider Reveals How MCU Will Resolve The Ill-Fated Storyline

The MCU has taken some unexpected turns in recent years, leaving many fans underwhelmed by Phases 4 and 5. Two major projects that were supposed to set up grand storylines fell short, and the franchise’s anticipated big bad, Jonathan Majors’ Kang the Conqueror, was dropped by Marvel Studios after he was found guilty of assault charges.
Despite this, a significant portion of the MCU fanbase still wants closure on Kang’s storyline—though some argue that Loki Season 2 already provided it. If you recall, He Who Remains, the Kang variant secretly controlling the timeline, was defeated and ultimately replaced by Loki. Now, Loki maintains the timeline’s balance, while the TVA has taken on a new mission: hunting and neutralizing dangerous Kang variants across the multiverse.
Recent rumors suggest that Kang’s future in the MCU is “null and void,” implying that the character will likely be excluded from major storylines and, at best, only referenced moving forward.
Now the recent Hot Mic podcast episode with John Rocha and Jeff Sneider revealed the possible resolution to Kang’s storyline that fans are yet to see. Sneider revealed that Marvel has a plan to say goodbye to Kang and Doom will be the one to kill him:
I’ve been told Marvel has a plan to say goodbye to Kang. They’re gonna wrap him up. I think that they want to give him the boot just to put to bed any […] I think they want to deal with Kang. […] I heard that Doctor Doom might be the one to kill him.
Sneider also mentioned that MCU already has an actor in mind that could replace Major for this sequence. According to his source, MCU is looking at Tramell Tillman to take over the role before we say goodbye to him.
